Where Excellence is Our Standard

History

Newcastle Christian Academy is a ministry of First Christian Church, in Newcastle, Wyoming.  It was established in 1984 with strong support from members of other churches in the community.  The first teacher was Walt Klein, the minister of First Christian Church, followed by Beckie Brandt, Mike Wiles, Wendy Smith, Susan Francis, and currently, Amanda Finley.  In operation for over 30 years, the school is now educating a second generation of students, three of whom are children of one of the first graduates. There are currently eight students enrolled in the K-12 program and seven enrolled in preschool.

I joined NCA in 2010 , after teaching three years at NES. I graduated from Black Hills State University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree Elementary Education with a Minor in Early Childhood Education. This is my ninth year of teaching. I am excited to announce that we have added a preschool program to the school.  I have two wonderful children, Hunter (3) and Samantha (2) who keep me running. God blessed me with my wonderful  husband, Dusty. As a family, we love to fish and hunt.

I am a mother of three , two of which attend NCA and my youngest who will begin preschool in the fall of 2016. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Shawn for 18 years. We moved to Newcastle in 2010 and I joined the NCA family in 2015. I have 10 years of  combined experience being  involved  with my children through preschool, day care, children's Ministries, and homeschool. I'm so thankful God has given me the gift to teach, love, and nurture his precious little ones. I look forward to many more years here at NCA Preschool.
